1/24 Perkasa
« on: May 01, 2014, 09:31:22 am »

Hi everyone , I am new to model boat building and this is my first post on Mayhem , I have bought
a Precedent Perkasa 1/24 kit with a GRP hull , i have noticed on the underside of the hull towards the stern that are 2 concave sections 1 at each side they are about 5mm deep , Are these ok to leave has they are or do they need filling and sanding flush , I seem to remember someone posting that they can cause handeling issues .  :-) :-) :-)

The hull you have is very inaccurate in many respects, but OK for it's intended use i.e. semi-scale boating fun. As it is so large it has excess buoyancy so I think a little filler will be fine. See my Brave/Perkasa hull on my website, you will notice it is quite different (thanks to Mr Lambert who was able to provide me with the Vosper hull lines).
