RNLI corporate blue
« on: May 05, 2014, 07:41:13 pm »

Hi,
Does anyone have s suggestion for a paint to match the blue the RNLI uses on it's launching tractors and lorries? If possible, a match for a halfords rattle can would be great.

Since many people currently use Oxford/Balliol blue, why not post the correct shade into this topic rather than have us all individually contact you by P.M. ?

I have had a quick look around and found 2 blues quoted,  Oxford Blue and Lufthansa blue.

Just found this RNLI link to the RNLI Blue, Scroll to the bottom.

The list does not specify the colour for Tractors and Lorries.
It definitely looks different to me.

The list from mudway looks correct the blue is not to be mixed up with Halfords Oxford Blue which is different.
Contact for mixed RNLI colours is Steve on 01929 472255 he mixes to order a fills spray cans. Not cheep with carriage added but correct.

I have no doubt that Colour Right do supply " mix to order " cans of Oxford 105, but so do hundreds of other retailers around the U.K., I pay £8.56 locally for any BS 381c colour including all those listed.

Hi, I would agree with Neil regarding the Oxford Blue, however in the 70s the Orange was called "Samoan Sun" subtly different to the modern orange. When the change came about I do not know. So if you build a lifeboat from that era that is the colour you want. Nemesis
