Glasgow could have been renamed Nottingham for that shot! Glad she wasnt lost though.

Some really good looking and well built models there. Also surprised at the number of 1\72 scale ships. Is this a trend!?

Hi justboatonic,
1/72nd scale has been a very popular scale up in glasgow for years (late 80's at least)

we find them a lot stabler than 1/96 most of the warship now being built are 1/72
the exceptions are the carriers & battleships which are still 1/96

We, the GLASGOW WARSHIP DISPLAY TEAM, Would welcome and support any idea to have a Uk, Model Warship Navy Days .
The ships in the water and the majority of the model in the pictures are a small selection of what we have and what was on display at the show,
We had about 40ish models on display. The warship team was happy to support the queens park navy days,
The total count of Model Warships on display was over 115!, yes 115!
Next year it will be bigger as there is plans to make this an annual event and hopefully have more fellow Warship and Naval Enthusiasts to going us.

Regards THE GLASGOW WARSHIP TEAM.

p.s  our next show will be Blackpool , see you all there.

as the Glasgow Warship Display Team have already said
a UK Show would be a good Idea and something I personally
would support.
1 question is does the Surface Warship Association have a national show?
I thought as the "national" organisation for model warships they would have a
show

Well done lads...finally managed a look at the pics and once again longed for that knack of being able to ride two horses with one bum!
Does this mean that the scottish tug boat team will now require to add some admiralty tugs to their fleet?  ;D

Funny thing you would say that billy, we were talking last night, and it would be a great idea to have the tugs there.
ideal to show the public. and would be good idea to have a set venue for both interests.
