Billing boats
« on: May 29, 2014, 05:58:05 pm »

Has anyone tried to contact Billing Boats in Denmark recently? I have problems with one of their more expensive kits and the retailer has not received help so far from Amerang. I have been offered a refund as Amerang say parts take a long time to come but have not offered to obtain even with a delay. Amerang do not appear interested in their products. I think the retailer has tried very hard but is just not getting anywhere. Emails to info@billingboats,com  as per their web site just come back. I also sent a letter to Kent Billing in Demark but no response. Anyone had similar experience. Are Billings still in business?

No, but to Robbe. Donīt know the current situation exactly, but years ago some parts of the production was moved to Germany - and then few years later back to Denmark... (I think this occured about at the same time, when Robbe discontinued nearly their entire range of model boats).

BTW-OT: Has anyone heard any news about Graupner/SJīs current situation? "V2-versions" of their old kits were supposed to become avilable in february-march, but I havenīt seen or heard anything....

Hi, I was talking to "Billings" on another subject and they told me they were based in UK.  But I can't find a contact, having shuffled through my emails of which there were quite a few.
I will look again.

Its interesting if you look at Cornwall Model Boats site, that virtually every Billings accessory is shown as out of stock with no due date.

Could be that Billings have serious issues that prevent them from re-stocking their agents.
