hi I am going to or maybe. run a 35"perkasa my question is..will I be able to run a 12v 700bb on 2/7.2nimhs ( in series )with a ripmax xtra no limit I don't want to run 2/ 6v gel cells cos of the weight issue.  also a 12v 5000 nimh pack is out of my range  any help would be very much appreciated  Thank you

There's no reason why not. At least you've avoided the SLA trap! Check that the ESC will handle 14.4v - some are unhappy above 12v.

Or you could run 2 6V Nimh 5 Cell packs.
