Scots in favour of Scotland splitting from the UK have been angered by the BBC's decision to re-run a particular episode of 'Dad's Army'.

The programme, which was shown on Saturday night, was the one where John Laurie's Scottish Private James Frazer takes over the Home Guard platoon from Captain Mainwaring, with haphazard results.

According to the Daily Telegraph, one Yes vote campaigner has accused the corporation of bias, saying: “A total of 80 episodes of Dad’s Army were made by the corporation – and which one does it choose to show on the Saturday ahead of the vote?

“The one in which Frazer – played by John Laurie – tells Mainwaring that he can run the platoon better than him, is put in charge and then makes a total mess of things. Thank you very much, Auntie Beeb.”

Can anyone really imagine any of the undecided or 'yes' Scots seeing that program and thinking "Oooh, we aren't capable of anything, so I'd better vote No"? 

OTOH if there is bias it could be a bit of headology by the Beeb:
"We'll show this episode which will really annoy a lot of Scots and thus encourage them to vote Yes."
