Model ship fittings?
« on: September 28, 2014, 04:41:34 am »

I usually buy mine from Cornwall Model Boats, but their stocks are getting low and non existent on some fittings I want. Where else is available to buy? PayPal payable, and send able to New Zealand?
I do not have an issue with Cornwall Model Boats, but some things have been out of stock on their website for a long long time.

Any help in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Hi Boman,  Have you tried Float A Boat in Melbourne. They have an extensive range of all types of fittings and if you don't see it in their catalogue phone and ask as the catalogue is not complete.
They are very helpful I have had a lot of bits and pieces from them posted to me in Brisbane. Always very prompt . http://www.floataboat.com.au/

I can vouch for them to. they are great to deal with and have a good range of stock. don't know which part of nz you are in but acorn models in chch have a small selection of boat parts. mainly props and sailing ship items.

Boman, you don't tell us what fittings you require for what sort of model and at what scale....there are a number of suppliers in this country who do different types and scales of fittings, and it would be handy for those trying to steer you in the right direction as to what your shopping list is.

1/35 scale fittings. Mainly a billings crane (F1485 Ships Crane 60mm High 160mm Reach) like this.

Also, with a Raboesch Bow Thruster 19/22mm x154mm, can the tubes be extended?

I need one for my Barge, at 170mm long, but they are all too short.
