Hi Akers

I am using Humbrol Enamel 53 (Gunmetal in their metallic section).

I can't post a picture because I'm not building a lifeboat and I've added some rust!

Are you thinking shiny new galvanised or drab old galvanised.

You would really not see much if any galvanised finish effect at 1/12 scale.

For shiny you could use most silver paints, which are never really shiny, and they go drab if you touch them anyway. For the drab, as suggested, I would use the gun metal.

Hi,

Try Tamiya Chrome Silver X-11.

I have been using it for gun barrels at 1/72 and its just shiny enough to notice.

If you want a lighter colour than gunmetal, try humbrol 16 aluminium.  Both 16 and 53 have a matt metallic finish and are available in spray cans as well as small tins.

You used to be able to get a rattle can of galvanising paint from Toolstation at a reasonable price.

Hi
Not all bollards on a Tamar are galvanised, most are light grey BS627 or stainless steel.
