Hi peeps,i am Andy and i have as my name suggests i have a precedent perkasa
Only Just recently got it and i am hoping to purchase another perkasa if negotiations
Are successful.
I come from a 1/5 scale petrol RC car background also RC helicopters.
Fancied a complete change and i like military vessels hence the perkasa
And if i get the other perkasa i intend to convert it to a Brave borderer as
Obviously the Malaysian perkasa is from the brave class of vessels.
Happy new year to one and to all

Welcome to the Mayhem  :-)

I'm also a fan of the Perkasa (Danish navy used them) and are hopeful that the Finish and Danish postal service will find my kit, it has apparently been stuck / lost in Copenhagen since Dec. 12.

Happy New year

  Hi again,
I sold my Perkasa last year (Tug nut!) but really enjoyed it, it was the 33inch version with two 600 motors sailed well and would turn at full speed without problem. When I can figure out how to post pictures I will post some of the boat running on our pond. Enjoy.
    Back to Jurassic Park now,
           Cheers,
                Peter. :-))

Cheers Peter,i am working on my perkasa to Brave borderer conversion,
In the middle of doing a complete respray, the scale purists will probably chase me down the road with there pitch forks, but ilike it ,i also bought another kd perkasa which i bought off a member on here which needs a total refurb but that will stay as a perkasa.

Hi again,
I would not bother about the scale purists I certainly don't! They are your boats so make them your own. I am a tug nut and do a lot of research on my builds but when push comes to shove they belong to me and I am the builder so I do the Frank Sinatra bit i.e. "My way". I have recently done the guided tour of the Liverpool wet dock (very interesting) and whilst at the Albert dock I took lots of photos of the Brocklebank tug which is moored at the Maritime museum, this is all for my research colours of various bits and I was quite surprised that all the painted metal surfaces are gloss finish and not satin as I had been led to believe. A group of ex tugmen look after this tug and it is in great condition I also noted that nothing on the decks, bulwarks and rails is exact so my perfectionist head isn't right or necessary, it made me realise after speaking to the guys that tugs are working boats not showpieces. Looking forward to seeing the finished boat.
    Cheers,
           Peter. :-))
