Im not 100% sure but it looks like St Albans boating lake to me.

Hi, I have emailed the picture to Roger but I am pretty sure it is him..  The destroyer, steam powered straight running, looks like the one Peter Lambert used to run. I thought St. Albans lake but there should be a bridge to the right and a lake in the back ground.  The other side of the lake is rather shallower than the waders suggest.
But it has to be around the late 70's or so.
