LARGE SCALE X-WING WITH LED LANDING LIGHTS AND ENGINES.
« on: January 17, 2015, 08:23:52 pm »

I managed to get hold of the large Hasbro X-Wing at a comic-con going cheap. This is huge, 63 cm wingspan and 73 cm long.

I fitted red 10 mm LED's in the engines and 3 mm white LED's for the landing lights, all run of a PP3 9 V battery via a clip box fitted underneath. Added some rod and mesh to the underneath of the cannons and also fitted some tubing to the hollow areas on the engine exhausts.

Repainted the nose and other areas, added some foil for patching work and weathered.

That is an awesome looking craft, I like that...I reckon it would make a good submarine with a bit of fettling.   ;D
