Model Speed boat - 50th birthday present
« on: January 28, 2015, 11:10:35 pm »

Hello chaps,

I wonder if you can help me.

Its my dads 50th birthday on the 8th of March and I was thinking how much he would like a model of his 18ft speedboat. It wouldn't have to be to the exact scale, but would be really good to get as accurate as possible.

The boat is your conventional speed boat layout with two seats in the front, bench seat in the back and outboard on the back. (Can upload a picture if it helps, but not on a computer at the second)

I was just wondering if you knew anyone or anywhere were I could get this made?

Look forward to hearing your response,

Chris

Hiya Chris and welcome to the Forum.     :-))

We would love see any pictures you may have.  This will give us an idea of the type of vessel you are thinking of.

Cheers

Ken

So it's a Marshan 19; popular for towing water-skiers in the 80's. They've not been made for over 20 years and I can't find any reference to a model of one, unfortunately.

I think so, She was called the Princess, my son had one, went very well, only it needed 7 cells because of the massive Speed Controller.

Hi, How about this? If you were to buy it, you would only get the hull. Let me know and I will pm you the contact details. Someone is selling them on another forum

Edit - Just seen his birthday is today! :embarrassed: Happy Birthday to him anyway! What did you get in the end?
