This model of H.M.S. Amethyst was built as a prototype for White-Ensign models,I have known Dave Carter for many years, during which time I kept asking him to produce a model of a modified black sloop.The model they produced was H.M.S. Starling. Having bought the model on checking the kit I realised that the kit required a complete upgrade to get it correct for a model of Amethyst.So with Daves permission I made all the necessary parts for the upgrade.Also I rewrote the build instructions along with a list of changes to the photo etch sheet.The model was then lent to Dave at last years IPMS Show at Telford.Unfortunatley White-Ensign then went into liquidation, but Toms modelworks now own White-Ensign,so hopefully in the near future we may see White-Ensign models being produced once again.
