apparently Liverpool Model Boat Club has been in existence for 50 years and as a celebration they held a regatta on the 3rd May 2015 at Newsham Park, Liverpool, a place I have never visited before but which has a splendid sailing lake - ideal in fact for something like a revised International Model Lifeboat Regatta; an event which is sorely missed.

JJ's will return before long.

I would like to thank everybody from the clubs and the visitors who attended. This show should have been held last year as the club was founded in1964. Unfortunately we were blighted by blue green algae on the anniversary date, as we would not be able to sail we cancelled the show till this year. Our photographer was flying off on holiday early the following morning, on his return we will be posting photos on our website and here.

The model of the Foylegarth was built by the late Harry Wright and is the thick end of forty years old. The present owner has cleaned it up a little and modernised the electrics but, essentially, it is as Harry completed it.

Harry was also well known for building models of the Isle of Man Steam Packet vessels all of which are still afloat or in museums.
