1:12 scale Cigarette 38 - seats?

Hi, I am building a 1:12 scale Cigarette 38, as the title says. I was wondering if there was anywhere where I could get suitable seats from? They don't have to be exact, as the model is for my young boys to play with. I'm thinking seats from a 1:15 model car may be suitable if there is nothing else around.

Yes, but looking at the price of them I'm finding it hard to justify the cost of a 1:12 car kit or diecast just for the seats. 1:15 much cheaper, but I would like to get the scale to match if I can

The seats are quite uniquely shaped on a lot of the 38's



The shape of them though would be quite simple to craft with a bit of stiff foam and some sandpaper then cover it with some fabric/leather scraps.
Could be quite a satisfying little project for an evening.

That's true - I tried them with plasticard but I gave up after a frustrating evening with it. Will try stiff foam - thanks for the suggestion.

Try the Charity shops and look for the toy grade RC cars. you might pick one up for little. Sometimes Tesco/Asda have them in the toy section.

Most dolls houses are 1/12 - look on ebay for chairs in that section - all sorts of styles available.

Thanks for the input chaps - have looked for dolls house stuff but nothing seems to suit. I thought also going to a jumble sale this weekend and seeing what there is, will have a look in charity shops also. Cheers.

carve from blue or pink foam >?- lightweight, easy to work with, then seal and paint...

Thanks for the suggestion - the seats I have ordered will need a bit of modification so I will try doing it with the method you have described.
