Limit Throw of a servo
« on: October 20, 2015, 08:00:39 pm »

Hello There,

I need to limit the throw of a servo to around 45 degrees. I do not have room for a P96 and have a Planet T5. Is there anything else on the market I can do this with?

Cheers

Would shortening the servo arm have the same effect.  ?  You would get less throw that way.

Does the T5 have End Point Adjustment (EPA)?

*edit*
Seems not according to the manual

This should work tho:-

Why not limit the throw of the throttle stick with a slotted disk?

Thanks for the suggestions chaps!  I will have a look at the links! It's for a throttle on an engine so could do with full throw on the radio, unfortunately the Action P96 is too big to go in my radio box which is ashame!  >:-o

A rather more expensive solution is to use a Hitec digital servo and the Hitec servo programmer. This allows you to set the throw in the servo itself and doesn't need any external electronics.

You might contrive a linkage like this if you can't reduce the throw at the servo disc:
