Greetings, need help with a problem that's probably been covered before many times. Bleeding handrails and phot etch stanchions, what I desperately need is advice on bending 0.8mm wire so that both rails are identical.....the shape is basicallt a " T ", with the railing running around the outside, the top of the T is curved..... sob
I have tried.....1. making a former the shape required
2. piece of wood with countless nails in
3. heating wire cherry red and using methods 1&2
next try will be bending both wires at the same time, unless you got another trick to save my sanity.. the slightest misalignment really throws the flimsy stanchions and as they have to fix to a capping rail , I cant find anything to replace them. My other option is to make it in sections and join rails with a tiny section 0.8mm ID tube. Strangely I made all the other rails easily, even a figure of eight, but this ones really got to me...
2 rail 1:48 scale with capping support , 20mm high 20 needed,if you know of a source
regards Jenga
