For those considering building the above ship, indeed even the sister ship Olympic, I came across this yesterday,  this site is a mine of information...

It is unlikely that I will build a model of the Titanic but I found the article on using fibre optic cable for lighting a 1/350 model Titanic particularly interesting.  I may use that technique  on a model cargo ship that I am building in very slow time.
