Has anyone bought any hulls from Nederland?
« on: April 20, 2016, 12:09:57 pm »

I found this site whilst looking for Damen 2208 information

http://www.modelbouwshopnederland.nl/c-204624/slepers-tug-boats/

Noticed they have one at 1/33 scale.
Has anyone purchased from them before?

Hi Batfish, have bought 2 hulls from them, superb finish and great to replace abs hull from billings, straight swap. (with a lot of swearing)

Hi Adam, yes it was the Neddy that i replaced the hull on my Billings boat, totally destroyed the abs hull but the hull slipped into place with only a little sanding

I have one of their Damen 2205 hulls with a glass fibre reinforced lining and it's probably the strongest and thickest hull that I've seen on a model boat.
Not a single bit of flex in it at all, when people handle that little boat they are amazed.

I haven't got any of their larger hulls but if that little one is anything to go by then I'd have no concerns at all with them.

I recently purchased one of their 1;30 scale hulls,[ Fairplay 30 ], it is absolutely solid as a rock.I would expect som
e flex in a hull that measures 1350mm x 450mm, but there is none. I would recommend this company to anyone. I know that I have made a mess of this reply but it is the first time I have written anything on this site even though I have been a member for quite a while. My computer skills need improving.

Hi Steve, welcome to the forum
Any questions try the search function first as there is an awful lot of information on this Forum.
Failing that there is plenty folks who will be more than happy to pass on there knowledge.

I did notice the 1/30 FairPlay 30/31
That's a fair size of Tug, i see the majority of there listings are 1/25 scale.
