Too many projects
« on: July 03, 2016, 03:00:29 pm »

I'm in the position of having too many things on the go and getting nothing accomplished. Rebuilding my laser cutter, its in bits all over my workroom, writing a simple operating manual for it to go on the laser support forum for newbie users. The plug for the mold of my latest build is on trestles and bench in my outside toolroom, I have the electronic components for the dynamic positioning system scattered across the workbench in the house, waiting for programming, they need the rescource of having my laptop running at the same time. I'm just getting nowhere at all.

I make a list of what order to do things in, and I may as well not bother. On top of that, having family here just compounds things, you know that if you start something, wife or somebody else is going to want your time... I've now been sat on stuff for the last 3 weeks and have not moved forward at all.

Have heart Brian!!!  :-))
Pour a glass of your favourite and take 5 to reset yourself.

I am very much in a similar position with having to juggle a day job, ensuring that customers are not kept waiting for their kits for the lack of fittings etc. and at the same time trying to finish the plug for the Norland as well as the build drawings and manufacture (laser and 3D) drawings for same.  I guess it is just a question of making a priority list and working through it.... %%

Get your Cutter repaired first. Its one of your key assets. The guide will follow as it is related to the cutter. The Plug and DPS is technically the same project so you can remove one project title despite the technologies being dissimilar.
