Bowman Snipe restoration
« on: August 12, 2016, 08:24:43 am »

I bought this a few years back as I have a passing interest in Bowman steam engines .
Came with the original wooden box and dates back to the mid 1930s.
Loads of pics, not much text ok2

Enjoy......

Martin...older steam powered racing boats are often portrayed in drag races...pitting one vessel against the other  O0

So are you inferring she will be an old Drag Queen? ... {-)

Geoff.....pay no attention to Martin...he is only the Boss  <*<.......

Thanks guys

Shelf Queen, maybe, my old bones aren't so flexi as they used to be, so up to my waist in murky water may not happen. Maybe I can get a young offsider to help.

Derek, Kevin, nice to see some familiar names guys

Looks fabulous, you've done a fantastic job  :-))

So difficult deciding how for to go when restoring models but when the starting point is as poor condition as yours was originally, it makes the decision easier...
