Failed railway modeller finds a use for disused track.

I bought the train layout shown below complete with table to mount it on through ebay a couple of years ago when I thought about doing a bit of model railwaying. Since then the boats have taken over and it has just been siting around (any offers?). Anyway when the floods hit the Severn Valley railway recently my wife decided to invite all the family and friends to a party to raise some money for the railway restoration fund. This gathering was going to take place some weeks ago but the second round of storms and floods hit and nobody could get here. So it is all happening this Sunday the 11th. The visitors will pay a small fee to enter the competions with all procedes going to the fund. Mow at last I have found a use for the layout. It is part of the fun and 'Mayhem' as visitors will be asked to name the station on the new line. They pay 20p for the privilege of taking part but the most popular name will receive a prize, possibly a bottle of Hobsons Severn Valley Railway beer (yes it does exist). Cheers Graham.  :)

Well the track and other nonsense raised £60 for the fund. Not bad. Graham

And you can use the lines for window frames.

No, you can use the rails in a model of the early torpedo boat which had a harpoon gun-type torpedo projector in the bows, and reloads stored on the stern. There were little rail tracks down the side decks to bring the reloads forrard.
