In 1979, I did a concert tour of Japan with a huge 4 manual organ from the Kawai music company. Kawai's 1979 slogan in Japan was "Touch & Play", referring to an easy-play feature on their new organs. So all the Kawai girls in the front of house and those doing the PR had T-shirts with "Touch & Play" written across their.... well, you can understand why the UK guys were smiling at that, but the Japanese hadn't considered the implications at all. They just didn't get it! Rost in tlansration, obviousry!

Here are a few of the girls, these ones were in a 'synth band' that played front of house before the main concerts.

That reminds me of an old George Burns joke about when he once entered a hotel lift, the female lift attendant had her name 'PAT' on one side of her shirt and 'LIFT' on the other.  ;)
