1/1 Star Trek: TWOK Ceti-eel containment prop box.
« on: February 17, 2017, 08:54:11 pm »

I have been working on this for the past few weeks.I wanted a 1/1 prop to house a Ceti-eel from the Star Trek movie The Wrath Of Khan, it will also go with my TWOK costume.

It started out as a make up box, the guts stripped out of it and re lined.I scratch made parts, bought parts and raided the parts bin for anything that would work and look right.

It has working LEDs/switches, sample tubes with samples made from Tamiya clear and two part epoxy, the Ceti-eel is 1/1 and came from America, all primed and weathered.

It is 90% finished with just a couple of small bits to do but they are just a small probe thing, but the box is finished.

Si:)

I love the 'tech' feel to it Eddie.

The console reminds me of the keyboard designed for Pirates, minimal commands but gets to the point  :-))

I am glad you spotted that, the effect of basic commands was what I had in mind. Didn't want to overload the box with switches and dials and clutter it up.

Glad you like it.

Why thank you, trying to add some sound effects utilising a small USB MP3 player and a pillow speaker.

And yes, if you see one these in your lunchbox don't put it anywhere near your ear  :D

Prefferably fried and between two pieces of bread with an egg.

I have added some pipework and made a probe/scanner that attaches to the box and then to the data pad.
