PC help please...

HP laptop with W8.1 installed...very time I go to scroll across the screen, this bl**dy thing comes out of the right hand side with what I think are 'apps' or something similar on it. It's driving me bl00dy mad.. >>:-( <*< >>:-(  ..anyone know how to stop it? (apart from slinging the laptop out of the window...)

Rich,
If yo click on the right side of the screen the apps should appear.
There should be a drop down menu to hide the toolbar.

Problem pretty much sorted...I have a man who knows these things is going to  hit it with a big hammer tomorrow  get it repaired for me tomorrow.
