1/12 foose camaro 2
« on: August 25, 2017, 07:35:47 pm »

Hi all don't know if you remember this but I have no kits in the stash that interest me so I went through the junk pile looking for inspiration and I think I have an idea, it won't look like it does now since I only seem to be good at old and beat up but if all goes to plan this will be quite radical even for me.

I was looking at your feet with a mind to write something funny (Ha ha?  {:-{ ) and the size of the model dawned on me. That is big!

I could see that with off road tyres, roll cage and bang stick toting warboys hanging off it! (Mad max reference for those not aware of the franchaise).

I will be interested to see what you do with it Ken.

Hi all well I've had to widen the suspension and tracking to fit this baby in also will have to hack the inner wings to drop the engine and allow for attaching the gearbox.
If they ever built a car like this it would be awesome I doubt the engine would even be pulling it's own weight.
Obviously it will need wider rear wheels.

Hi all next update I've installed the engine, got a lot of work to do (so much more than I thought) I will have to flair the wheel arches a bit, I had to remove the carbs to get the body on this is going to be tricky

It's a 1/6 scale Honda 750k4 engine which I realise only makes it 4.5 liter in scale but it look far more impressive I think it looks more like double that.

Thought it was 1/6 CB750 motor, I've just finished my Tamiya 1/6 CB750F and I've got the 1/12 Camaro in my stash to go with my 1/12 Mustang GT500 Shelby (you might remember me doing that one some time back, about the same time you did your convertible GT500 with opening doors....how did that one go, OK I hope).
I'm not as brave as you when it comes to chopping and swapping, so the CB is keeping its engine, the Foose Camaro wont get Overhauled and I get to keep whats left of my sanity!!!

Looking forward to seeing the outcome of this project.

Cheers, Dave
