Just had a look at Marine Traffic. All the westbound ships are crawling down Channel at around 4-5 knots. Many seem to have taken shelter in Sandown Bay and Torbay. Even Cunard's Queen Elizabeth is only making 6.7 knots for Southampton. Probably very late as the cruise ships usually aim to berth early morning and sail again in the evening.

Shipping forecast is for up to Violent Storm 11.

It's very rough, the Pride Of Kent has gone aground in Calais. No injuries or anything, just a tad embarassing.

Apparently QE is dawdling as her call at Zeebrugge (for Bruges) was abandoned yesterday and she is due in at Southampton tomorrow morning. Onboard festivities will have to substitute for the Christmas markets ashore but that is the chance you take at this time of year.
