Slacking or what ?  ;)

Dont worry Danny you get a mention in the next TWO issues at least, by the way you are a bit behind the times, John Cundell retired from the M/B editorial, Paul Freshney is the new editor.
ps, Many thanks for your support at the AGM and I WILL be racing against you next season, my 'secret' project(s) is(are) in the advanced stage(s) now, well I've started thinking about it(them)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cheers for now

Hi Stuart
With my luck this year, you'll be hard pressed to find anything good to say about me - but I wouldn't want to spoil my 'Mayhem' image by being successful, would I  ::) ::) {-)
I knew John had retired hence the "......  oh, bu**er :'( :'( :'( " in my previous post  ::)
We might need some of your skills if Gary and I get the OMRA site up to scratch  O0

Keep up the good work

er ............thank you Richard ............... I think  ;)

The "won't spoil my image by winning anything" is a bit ambiguous??
Sounds like you don't think I will win anything  :o :o :o
Wait til you see my masterclass on building a motorised "large craft which MAY be used for racing" which I'll be posting on here shortly

This motorised "large craft which MAY be used for racing" wouldn't be a scale model of that ambidextrous van you used to drive when you were going through your uniformed amphibian stage in your youf I suppose ?   :-\

No Dicky, that's still on the back burner (probably catch fire before I get "a round tuit")  {-)
This is my new hull which, unlike the rest of the racers on here, is bigger and slower than my last one  :o
I'm hoping it will suit my driving style and reaction times better ie. don't need much thinking  {-) {-)
A case of "slow, slow, quick, quick, even slower, slow !

Ha Richard, you can gloat all you want  :embarrassed:
Wait til you see my later results - they're even WORSE :o :o

Good idea - I get a big boat, use the white stick as the rudder,

and train the labrador to lie in it - and drive the bl**dy thing  :D :D

Keep it quiet Danny, but you get another mention (well quite a bit really) in the Jan 08 issue of Model Boats. Are you still looking for a 'B' class engine? If so give me a call, I have a rebuilt CMB67 Goldhead complete with new carb. Scoop

Yep Gaz, 'AA' + 'A' + my ultra fast 'C' class Warhawk (I've been a busy boy) and possibly a 'B' if Danny doesn't want that CMB67 Goldhead Hydro motor I've got tucked away, it's going to be a busy 08, cheers Scoop

Hi Scoop
Thanks for the offer of the 67 - it's a week too late though.
I've got a nice 'C' class engine on the way, so I'll be doing 'C' instead of 'B' next year (as well as 'AA' and 'A') but I might have to get a bigger car to get them all in!
The engine is a CMB 80 (nothing like giving yourself a handicap) which I'm putting in a Magnum  :o :o
That should be nice and slow - perfect for my "razor sharp" reflexes  {-)
I will be running submerged drive but am thinking of a transom mounted rudder as I've noticed that the Magnums have a tendency to spin when cornering flat out.
It'll be a case of "suck it and see".

I haven't had chance to get the latest Model Boats yet - so you have the advantage over me.
Something embarrasing I assume  ::) ::)  {-)

I agree with the transom mounted rudder for the Magnum, if it still has a tendancy to flat spin with the transom rudder have a word with me and I'll show you a little trick to stop the spinning. Cheers for now Scoop
ps. Tried calling you this morning ...no answer...Re: Tx and Rx you are after, good news, give me a call.
Gary could never impersonate me....I'm much more handsome than him !!!
