Equipage Riviera 80

Can anyone remember if this model was a static model, a ARTR model or a model intended for RC conversion?

Thank you.

Images of the box say it was an ARTR item.

Thank you.  Do you know when this model was introduced in the UK and what was the original motor/esc.

I am currently trying to sort out one of these for a club member who bought it on ebay. Loads wrong with it and basically undriveable due to ridiculous motor/.esc/prop combination. I can get it going well but am interested in finding out about the original set up. Its not a boat that I have come across before.
Thanks.

All I know about the model I found by Googling it.

It looks as if they came with a Graupner Speed 400 motor, more than one pic shows the same motor, but none show the prop.

Thank you Kits and Martin.

I am not surprised this boat was not popular. Motor mounting bracket fixed to a very thin and flimsy piece of hardboard(not sealed). Hardboard cross frames (not sealed) . My friend paid good money for the boat on ebay. Came with a big  Overlander Thumper brushless in runner motor, pathetic ESC that would only work on 3S and above, a prop that would be better on a large fishing boat. Completely undriveable/ unusable and useless even on 2S with one of my props and suitable ESC.. I will sort it out for him, just wish he had asked before buying it!

BTW -ARTR  %) :o
