Morning what do you guys colour do you use to dye sails on old type fishing boats used coffee and tea in the past but not good enough colours are blotchy at best. looking for similar colour to the sailing fifie on orion mouldings page.Thanks in AdvanceCoastie

in the past I have used carpenters woodstain ( the water based not oil based ) Mahogany will give you a reddish brown . You can water it down to get less density. Do a few trial strips first and don't worry , the stain will eventually come off your fingers.

It partly depends on the sail material as well, and if it has been pre-treated with anything else.
I have used Dylon color dyes, but you need to buy the right type for your fabric.
