We’re having a three man (or woman!) towing event on Sunday 18th August.  This is your opportunity to tow either or both of our tankers around the harbours and obstacles at Balne Moor.  Don’t worry if you haven’t got a threesome, people will team up on the day - you can even borrow a tug if necessary.


Bacon butties will be available from about 11.00 until 13.00; hot drinks all day and homemade cakes from 11.00 until they’re gone.


Satnav postcode is DN14 0ER (that’s a zero) - it’s just a couple of miles from the M62, off the A19 towards Doncaster.  Google us to see a map on our website.

Good to everyone today, as Tim says it was a fun day with some smashing butties(thanksTess) and some lovely cakes (thanks once again Tess).
Enjoyed my 2 tug towing experience with John, and helpful hints and Tips from Ian.
Be nice to see a few more people try tug towing, its fun, and after seeing Roy with a single prop and no bow thruster on a small tug it shows it doesn't have to be big powerful tugs only. .

Thanks also to Will’s partner, Annie, for the strawberry cupcakes - and to all of you who helped with the washing up, especially Sarah who was visiting with her partner and erstwhile member, Adrian. Oh, and thanks also go to the guerrilla gardener who weeded the pondside walkway during the week!


It was another lovely day, the weather was kind to us despite a sneaky wind and there was a great sense of camaraderie and fellowship with newbies learning from the old hands.
