Thanks Pierre. Great work on the Voith drives. You've made their construction seem simple. More photos please?

Everything went together without too much drama. The funnel and crane painted in all black hides quite a bit of detail but at least I know it’s there. Easier to see it in real life than in these photos.

I’ll post a few pics over 2 posts so you can see how it all fits together.

The antennae will be the last things added. They are 0.2mm brass rod, and very easily bent – and almost impossible to unbend.

This has got to be one of the best tugs I have ever seen built.  Crikey Steve what a fabulous build  :-))

That's very kind of you to say, Mark – you silver-tongued devil. Praise from the sensei!

However all I see are my mistakes and shortcuts. Some of the builds on the forum are museum quality but my boats always turn out looking just like something I would make. I haven't really been satisfied with a model since the Christian Reinauer, about 15 years ago. I've been chasing my tail ever since.

I quite like some of my models but that's more for the look of the boat itself than the quality of my workmanship. There's a selection of my boats on the RCGroups.com blog under my name, a lot of them are pre Mayhem. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=102411

You and BB keep raising the bar every week and I haven't really progressed, but I'll keep trying. One day...
