Does hitting a little white ball round a big field count as a hobby or a way of life?

The eighteen holes are just to find some "patsy" to pay for the drinks at the 19th.

If it were just one ball it would be OK but it's the other 4 that you use in a round that hurts!!

Tony

Take up archery instead. Less of a walk and better targets.

You don't BUY balls, you find them.  Playing with a good ball that someone else has lost engenders a feel-good factor.

There are some nice little boating ponds around that are ruined by idiots who try to sink you with round shot that is way over scale. And they carry around lots of sticks but won't let you tie them together to reach a stranded boat.
