Author Topic: Lesro Rapier - a fast Launch kit - Anyone got one or a decent photo?  (Read 3514 times)

I've just finished restoring what I thought was a 1960-70 classic cabin cruiser type model for a non-modelling customer. But I havn't a clue (nor has he) what actual boat it is.

I've just seen a Lesro Rapier kit for sale on e-bay (and its also still listed by Westbourne Models) which appears to be the kit for the boat I've just restored.......does anyone own a Rapier or better still have a decent photo of the finished article. I'd like to be able to tell my customer the origins of his model which was I believe built by his father.

The model was obviously originally intended for IC power, but I installed a 'Black Horse' Turbo electric motor from Pandan Models running on 24volts with a big 3 bladed prop and I have to say it performs very well (fast!) on the water.

I have photos of my finished resto, but not sure how to post on the forum.
