Information wanted on this trawler
« on: May 27, 2021, 04:10:02 pm »

Looking to see if any member has any information on this model. It was on the cover on Model Boats August 1980. I believe she was a middle distance trawler and called the Kinross.  I am looking for a plan and have looked in Sarik Models but there is nothing there. It looks a a good model to build.

That pond looks familiar!
Sarik Hobbies has been the name for quite a while.

Well here is a photo of the entire cover, but I guess you'd have to buy it to
find out if there is any more information on the model and the builder.

It was made by R Dudley of the Luton Model Boat Club.

I can't find any reference to plans.

HMS Invisible Sarik Is my first choice for plans but there was nothing there I did get my Norman McLeod Rogers icebreaker plan from them so they are a good source. cheers.

Umi_Ryuzuki  had the magazine for years why I decided to take the cover picture goodness knows. The only description in the magazine was the name Kinross and the builder which  Colin has got it right. Cheers

Colin hope your good. Yes that is what it said on the inside of the magazine on the cover description section. Cheers.

Billing model boats also used to make the Nordkap, which looks similar.  you might be able to find plans for that.

Hi tsenecal  I know about the Nordkap she is slimmer and shorter than the model in the intro. I am looking into sites of old trawlers here and there . Cheers. Here is a couple my mate sent me
