Getting revenge!
« on: August 07, 2021, 11:39:28 pm »

Some will remember a little while back I was ‘stabbed’ in the back by a C-130J Hercules which left a 6 inch gash across my back. Well on Friday morning in the early hours whilst most slept peacefully I had my revenge on the dastardly ZH866 by beating the hell out of the stowage bin door. Okay it was damaged by the Movers loading the aircraft and it was the loadmaster who found the door bent out of shape but it was my great pleasure to hit it back to relative shape with a large hammer and lumps of wood!

Hi Frogman

WE had a wasp nest in an outside garden wall, so late one night with a full length of plastic 25mm pipe, a 90 degree bend, large funnel and a lump of rag.

Plus can can of petrol !!!

We pipe 5 liters of petrol into the nest and as they tried to come up the pipe, we put the rag over the funnel.

Next today we have no wasps !!!

The fumes kill them as they breathe via they skin.

We had a set of patio doors at the end of the lounge which had an air brick underneath them. Wasps had somehow found their way through the brick and built a nest. There was an endless stream of wasps coming & going but never once did any come into the house even though the patio doors were open most of the time.
We started horrified & gradually became fascinated.

For any wasp nest built around any surface of the home, spray the nest with standard WD40 [moisture inhibitor] .....wasps will either die or leave the area & rebuild the nest further away... O0

HI YEA ITS goin to be all what we will have to use soon if i understand rightly as from the end of august they will be doin away with E5 UNLEADED AN BRINGING OUT AN E10 in its place an older classic car will have problems as they wont run on it so if your car is not at least a 2011 reg then the new unleaded will be no good for your car so they recommend super unleaded petroll which costs more per liter as thats what my car runs on so no worryies  as mine is a 13  year for me an there are three gargies around here what sells it so no prob for me  but if you have trouble finding super unleaded then you ought to start lookin for a garage that does sell it an i maybe wrong on this but i see this a couple of days ago on the web news

I hope they don't go overboard on adding vegetable oil to our diesel as it will eat my pump seals. Land Rover products cannot take sunflower/vegetable oil like some can so you don't smell any 'Chip shop' Landys  {-)

Plenty of videos on You Tube showing how to remove the alcohol from E10 or E5 petrol. Basically just add water to dissolve the alcohol then separate the two layers leaving the petrol. Of course you only have at most 90% of petrol left (water contaminated) and never mention how to dispose of the contaminated water safely at the end.
