DEANS MARINE at the Shuttleworth summer Fete
« on: July 15, 2025, 11:15:39 am »

Hi all A great weekend at the summer fete and a lot to see and do with model boats as well, it was very very hot by the lake and some great boating with all sorts, scale, yachts, power, boats, hovercraft, submarines, and a few weird ones ?,  ( boats not people) The fete was terrific, over 300 Triumph Stags on show at a meeting ( my favourite )  the aircraft collection was open to all and the car museum, racing drones, America classic hot rods, r c tanks ( big ones ) fire engine, traction engines ( all sizes)  classic buses giving rides around the site  full size classic aircraft flying both days and a full concert out side the stately home on both days and evenings,  And all this for a cost of £5.00 for the public ?  the scare of the black cat runabout delays never happened at all. All in all a great Weekend for the first time event, has great prospect for the hobby with more clubs and traders support, a few problems to be sorted out with the organisers with input from the boat section, to be expected for a huge event like this for the first time.

Looks like a great day. We were there recently for the historic air display. I've always liked Stags as well and they are a good affordable choice still for a classic convertible. I would have had one but I don't have a big enough garage and so bought a modern one instead which is fine being left outside.
