It was badly damaged by grandchildrenThe model is about 18  inches long and about 6 inches wide.I need  a pair of very very small anchors.  in fact something that could be stuck on would do.Anyone have any suggestion where I can get something that would do from please

If it is about 18" long, you are looking for something about 1/250 scale.

Shapeways supply printed ones for about £15.00 but surely someone on Mayhem could do a couple at the 1/240 1/250 scale?

I'll spend a couple of days with some thin brass sheet and a needle file I think

At 1:250 I would consider resizing a picture of one, repeating it a few times with a drawing program, printing, cutting out and building up enough thickness, and painting.  With even an etched one, the only thing you see is  the paint on the shape.
Or thin brass sheet and a pair of jewellers snips and a bit of quality time with some needle files.

Easiest way I've found for this sort of thing goes this way.1. Roll out bit of plasticene or similar. I've even used a bit of pastry in the past.2. Use small electrical screwdriver or similar implement to cut or push reverse shape into it. At that scale it's probably only 3 or 4 lines, rather like a capital "H" with an extra line.
3. Mix bit of resin with chalk/talc or summat to thicken a bit. Add hardener and drip into mould. You may need to use a pin to work into edges.4. Leave to set and fettle.

If you really want the two to match, then push the first one into the plasticene to form the mould for the second :-))

If you have som plastic card/rod/strip available it is simple to fabricate something that looks OK.
