Bonjour,
My friend Max has realized this quite original replica of an early 20° century steam machine in which the cylinders are fed by grooves engraved in the axis of rotation passing through the heads of the cylinders :

Interesting engine design!...I wonder if it would have enough power to drive a paddle steamer.

Bonjour Cliff,
Alas, this machine does not run on steam, the steam supply grooves are too narrow because they go through the crankshaft and the machine is too big, the steam condenses before doing its job.
