BoomBoat 1:22 3D printed
« on: May 03, 2022, 05:41:08 pm »

Found the files for a BoomBoat on Thingiverse  https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4643858
 Printer: Ender 3V2
 Material: Grey Viking PLA
Motor: Speed 400 7.2V (Way to powerful, but it what was in the drawer)
 ESC: 10A Chinese
 Servo: 9g Chinese
Battery: 2S 1300ah LiPo
 Length: 24cm
 Width: 11.5cm
 Height: 19cm
Weight: 700gram
Hull is 2 parts glued together with epoxy and reinforced with a strip of 24g FG and Z-poxy.
First trip to the water showed that I have to adjust the weight a bit to the stern as it digs down when mowing FWD (I know I should have thought about that)
 Fun and cheap little boat.

Nicely done!
I think I'm gonna make me one of those eventually, just as some kind of rescue vessel  :police:
