Looking good Stan.

I like the idea for the lighting. The plastic over the top of the ply is a great idea and reduces a lot of sanding and varnishing. :-)) :-)) :-))

The plastic lens are now in place on the inner roof. The next step will be to glue the ply roof in place then fit the L E D on to the ply roof. Last shot shows front windscreen more to follow. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Just a few shots from today showing the main cabin build well underway. Further shots show the fly bridge parts been made from plastic card the wood parts have gone in the bin. The flybridge parts have been made 6mm higher to allow lighting to be fitted.

These pictures were taken from the Grand Banks build showing the roof lighting. Lisa M will be something very similar.

Hiya Stan, I'm guessing the bits of tape are there as a  temporary measure, just to keep the roof 'lenses' clean.
With the little wood blocks supporting the led's you seem to get a more realistic lighting effect on your Grand Banks, so you should get the same on Lisa M.  :-))

The roof lighting now installed and tested work is proceeding on the fly bridge area . Please note the spacers fitted on the internal walls this will create a gap for the navigation light cables.

I know this is stupid question Stan, any chance you could do a little sketch of the LED wirings, because (as you know I am a steamey chap) I cock it up every time I try and wire them up (you really don't want to see my latest version)........The lovely late Dave Milborn would not even let me connect a battery to a speed controller without me ringing him to check..........
