Last weekend I had the opportunity to buy a Cheddar Claire in top condition. With steam plant, gas tank, condenser, servos and remote control. the model and the steam plant have been cleaned. the boiler is still covered with pear strips. a first test run was successful, the test in the water will take place at the weekend

Good deal indeed    I would just add at her steam plant a gas regulator and... a whistle

Its not my first steam model. In my fleet are the Borkum, Alexandra and Victoria from Krick and an open sloop called Greetsiel.
Actual I'm building the Topaz with wooden hull.

Ralph that’s a nice line up, one to be proud of. Re the Victoria, as a matter of interest which engine have you installed in it? I have a project Victoria waiting it’s turn for some attention and need to install the servos

In the Victoria is a Cheddar Puffin with vertikal Boiler installed.

You may find that you'll benefit from a larger condenser...time should tell if it is needed.
