modest attempt for glastron gt150

Hi, long time lurker, first real "build log", at least on this forum.
I found that the Robbe prinzess design was quite old, and a bit too far from a real glastron gt150 for me, so I took my mighty eyeball measuring tool and redraw it, mixing from real photos and good measurements from robbe model.The model is  wtfpl licence, here.
In the mean time, I designed a cover for a relevant outboard, here (wtfpl too). It's meshed for a proprietary outboard, but one for robbe roqua is in progress.

Holidays over, 3d printer time!Outboard was designed and printed in resin by a guy from rc-modellbau-schiffe, who sold one to me. Most other stuffs are done on my fdm printer, sanding is almost done, but I will have to wait for better days before putting some resin/paint on this baby.This will give me enough time to print finest detailed parts with a 0.1mm nozzle!

I saw a 3D printed swamp buggy in action on our club lake last week and it was very impressive


Your 3D printed speedboat is only the second 3D printed working r/c boat I have seen (I don’t get out much) and I will be following your thread with interest.


What is the overall length of your Glastron GT150?

The outboard's fascinating. Do I see it correctly in that it sucks water in from underneath and squirts it out the back via a centrifugal propjet?

Cool project!

I managed to find a polyester copy of a Robbe Prinzess, and I still happen to have two Fuji glow outboards (one even only run once).

Plans for next year...
