HMS Hood and HMS Tiger video
« on: January 18, 2023, 05:10:53 pm »

Very interesting colourised video of Hood and Tiger during a visit to Sweden in 1920 when Hood was new. The film really does capture the size, power and majesty of Hood.

You really do get the large size of the ship  when you see the crew as reference, especially next to the forward guns....awesome for that period !

Very interesting, particularly as I'm building a model of Hood and am working on the prop shafts "A" brackets. It shows the inner shaft A frames linked horizontally which is not obvious from the plans.

Cheers

Interesting video Colin, found the Tiger really impressive vessel to look at, always was my favourite from that period.
