Hello all,
Does anybody know of a Miss England kit preferably the later version "III", I've seen some plans are available online but would like a kit / hull to start with?
I've been toying with the idea of the decals for my "SAW" - straight running all out speed boat and quite fancy building a RC version of the boat, I would hopefully be looking in the 1m - 1.3m range for the boat.
This is her unpainted,

And proposed paint setup

Sorry, i wasnt maybe clear in origional post,
The cat in the pics is my 130mph+ Hpr 150 boat, Im stickering it up in the same livery as the miss england boats from the 1920's
I was wondering if a kit exists to build a miss England II or III a scale replica of the boat raced by Henry Segrave / Kaye Don

The only kit I’m aware of Miss England II was by a company called Touchwood Models and it was a static kit in 1/43 scale. It was a white metal/resin kit but I don’t think the company exists anymore- might worth trawling eBay to see what pops up occasionally.

I've sent a few requests out for plans,
Hopefully ill be able to come up with something,
anyone have any suggestions for a hull that sort of resembles a Miss england 3?
Hopefully the 1.3m range, so i can power her up to around 50mph.

I don't know whether they're any use to you but from a simple google there appear to be drawings for MEII on a Russian site. No, I've not gone into it but if you really, REALLY want MEIII then the possible goldmine is the Institute of Mechanical Engineers archives 'cos they appear to have the original drawings, or at least a large parcel of them! Good Luck

Sorry, no idea but I've found in the past on other projects and with other organisations that it's always worth contacting them and asking the question!
Try
https://archives.imeche.org/
and see what happens. I had a cursory look through the entries you can access on line and there are lots of drawings of the fuel system/cooling system etc but they mention that there's lots they haven't digitised yet but if the drawings do exist then you'll need their help. I'll have a look through a couple of other sources as well but no promises!!!Are you in it for the long haul?
