12v sealed lead acid battery

Hi peeps,
I have a flat 12v battery, that does not take a charge. Has anyone got any ideas how to revive it and put some life back in it.

If you look around you will probably find some methods on You Tube, one that some try is to start the charge with a high voltage charger for 24V  to try and shock it. WHatever method you could try however it's not really worth it, even if it takes a charge it will be low capacity and low output. If the battery won't take a normal charge it is basically dead and best disposed of and replaced.

on occasion I have revived lead acid batteries that have been over discharged recently back to life by just connecting them to a solar panel, the cycling of charge over a few days / weeks can sometimes get them back, but its no guarantee, if the lead acid has been discharged for a longer time its almost inevitably dead.

The charger probably needs to see voltage before it will produce a charge. You will need to connect a similar voltage battery in parallel then take the second battery away once the charger has put some voltage in and the charger should then carry on charging the original one
