M/V Barfleur, a refit is welcome
« on: March 15, 2024, 07:18:54 pm »

Hello,

Bourbon Orca is totally completed, let's go for a refit of my old ferry: Barfleur. I've completed it in 2010. So, after 14 years of exhibitions, car transport, and more experience gained, it was time to give it another youth. I've started with the lifeboat.
the second photo shows how was the original lifeboat

Hi
Looking foward to this rebuild . Both your Brettang and Mont St Michel builds were great.
Love the photo with the 3 ferries in.
Was on Barfleur last year. Got a bridge vist. Great ship , Great Crew.

Hello,
Thank you for your comments. So after few primers spray edges, I've used a tamya colour too paint them. I've forgot to say that Tarpaulin are coming from ferrero chocolate  paper. hoops are made with 0.3 mm brass. There are 2 kinds of life boat. The second batch is bigger. You ll ba able to see it soon

Hello everybody,

So , I 've added 2 mm letters on each boat. After that, I'll spray a semi-gloss varnish to protect them. So,  I've started to refit the other type of life boat.

Hello,

So now, each lifeboat is painted and completed. They need their davits. Two of them will be able to move their arm, because I'd would like to take down 2 boats.
