New Here!
« on: April 30, 2024, 12:06:58 am »

Hello, Mayhem! Glad to be here. I’m an old retired guy, recently moved to the rocky coast of Maine, in the US. A few weeks ago I started building a Lightning sailboat model (Dumas) with my grandson in Florida. We each have the exact same model, and work on them together over FaceTime. This is the first time either of us has ever built this type of wooden model, so i find myself with questions I hope to ask of experienced model builders. Not sure how to proceed here. Any direction would be appreciated.🙂

Welcome to Model Boat Mayhem.  :-)

Plenty of people to help out here, just start a thread and ask questions, or show off your build.
You'll need five posts to start posting photos, just make sure they aren't too large.

Also be sure to check out local modelers, For more information on their club check out the website at:
 http://www.marinemodelers.org
 .

Hi The Logo you are using on your mails is the Logo from the Deans Marine site. Is there any good reason  why you are using this as it is registered to Deans Marine for the past 41 years. It is attractive and but you should not really be using it as it may cause confusion as some may be under the impression that you are part, or represent Deans MarineRegards Ron

Sure, Ron. Didn’t mean to appropriate your logo. Best regards to you, and Dean’s Marine!
