Robbe Topas Ketch Yacht
« on: March 10, 2025, 10:04:53 am »

I am new to RC sailing and bought a 2nd hand Robbe Topas boat.

It is in very good condition but 2 of the railing stanchions are broken at deck level and I can't find replacements anywhere.

The stanchions are 50 mm long with 2 holes and the longest I can find anywhere is 40 mm

Any help sourcing spare stanchions would be appreciated

That confused me - I was just scrolling through and saw the first post in this thread and thought 'I don't remember posting that' - then I looked closer and saw the poster was Dave.s and not Dave_S.

I too am looking for 50mm 2-hole stanchions and have concluded that nobody makes such a thing.  I am going to have a go at making my own from 2mm brass rod or tube (not decided which yet) and will look to find a friendly 3D printer owner if the brass drilling fails.  But if anyone else comes across 50mm stanchions...?

Greg, these were made by Robbe, and have not been made for many years. I have the same situation for my Atlantis and Topaz!
I replace my Atlantis ones with 40mm ones, and used the spares on Topaz. I will have a look to see if I have a couple spare
