Bonjour,
I had the opportunity to acquire a gas regulator/attenuator combination built based on one of his designs, and I had never heard of this gentleman before this experience.

Could you tell me more about him?

Malcom is member of the Saint Albans Model Engineer Society and as been for many (many) years.He is a fine model engineer and has designed and built many fine steam engines. I have known him for many (many) years and have had the pleasure of swapping many an idea on engines and boilers with him.

When I got it, some parts were missing, the rubber seals were cooked and the Schrader car valves were stuck : https://youtu.be/GHh4i-dugiQ

Before identifying it as a Malcolm BEAK, the friend who rebuilt it for me had the same one as example.

And I was told that Ludger KIEFLER and then Dieter LUDGER (German manufacturers) were inspired by it to make their own, which I also have and which turns out to be of poor quality over time due to a possible lack of understanding of the phenomenon of electrolysis between different metals (here brass and aluminum)    :
